Designing Your Email

There's no drag-and-drop builder or template library — your assistant writes the actual email HTML with you, conversationally. Describe what you want (the message, the tone, a rough layout), and it drafts the design; ask for changes the same way you'd give feedback to a person.

"Write a short email announcing our fall sale — friendly tone, one hero image at the top, a discount code in the middle, and a button linking to our shop."

Adding images

A campaign email can't have attachments — every image needs to already be hosted at a real web address before sending. From Claude Code, ask your assistant to upload one directly and it'll host it for you. If you already have an image hosted somewhere (your website, a public Drive link), just give your assistant that URL to use instead.

Uploading a brand-new image currently requires Claude Code. If you're using a plain chat client, ask your assistant to use an already-hosted image URL instead — direct upload support for other clients is planned but not available yet.

Two things every design needs

Every commercial email is legally required to include a physical mailing address and a way to opt out. Your assistant builds both into the design for you:

  • A mailing address footer. The first time you send, your assistant will ask for your business's real postal address once, then reuse it in every campaign after that.
  • An unsubscribe link. A working, recipient-specific opt-out link is added automatically wherever your design calls for it.

You don't need to design either of these yourself — but a campaign genuinely won't send without them in place.
